GOYA

The Greek Orthodox Youth of America is a national organization that was originally founded by young adults as a movement that ignited the voice of the youth in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.

As time went on, this organization has evolved into a ministry of those in grades 7-12 and of at least 12 years of age.  All ministry to youth within this age range falls within what we simply refer to as “GOYA.”  The Annunciation Chapter is quite active and is governed by two co-presidents with oversight from Adult advisors. If interested in getting connected please email Fr. Nick at: nmanuel@annunciationakron.org.

Anyone above the age of 12, at least in 7th Grade, and an member of Annunciation active in the sacramental life of the Church is a member of our chapter.  All GOYAns are welcome to all events and activities. No one will be turned away.  We simply ask that those who are benefiting from our ministry, and able, share in the stewardship of the ministry.
